The event included a ½-mile Pacific Ocean swim, an 18-mile bike ride along the
Pacific Coast Highway and concluded with a 4-mile scenic run to Point
Dume and back. Jamie was one part of two "Threat Matrix" 3-man relay teams, doing his
best to not think about the shark warnings that had been issued for beaches
farther down the coast as he made his contribution to a great cause by taking
part in the ½-mile swim.

Malibu Nautica Triathlon is an annual event.
The "Threat Matrix" teams were comprised of:
James Denton (swim), Mike Petty (bike) and Will Lyman (run) and
Anthony Azizi (swim), M. Ali (bike) and Kurt Caceres (run).
