'Threat Matrix' star boosting local actors

From Tennessean senior writer and columnist Tim Ghianni:

Jamie Denton, who is earning himself a solid Hollywood rep, is coming home for the holidays.

No big deal. That's what everyone should do.  Leave Tinseltown and come to Nashville.  But we digress.

Jamie, who makes semi-regular appearances in this column, stars as Agent John Kilmer in the ABC series Threat Matrix.

The Goodlettsville High School (and UT-Knoxville) grad will speak here at the local Alliance of Film & Television Actors meeting that begins at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at StagePost Film & Video, 255 French Landing Drive.

Nice guy Jamie's appearance is being ballyhooed by Lois Moreno, chairwoman of the local organization, which is an affiliate of FilmNashville.

''We are thrilled that Jamie is taking the time to speak to our organization and encourage our local actors.''

If you can't wait for that appearance, catch Jamie and the rest on his show that airs at 7 p.m. Thursdays on ABC, Channel 2.
