Written by Grant Morrison and drawn by Frank Quitely, the story begins with the Man of Steel (Denton) oversaturated by radiation during a rescue mission near the sun, accelerating the degeneration of his cells. Knowing that he has a limited time before he dies, Superman sets out on a journey that sees him revealing his secret to Lois Lane (Hendricks), giving Lex Luthor (LaPaglia) an epiphany on humanity and ensuring the safety of Earth for when he is gone.

Also in the cast are Ed Asner as Perry White and Frances Conroy as Ma Kent along with Linda Cardellini, Arnold Vosloo and Matthew Gray Gubler.

t  April 24, 2010 -  Saturday, May 22, 2010 has been set as the date for SEAGLASS THEATRE'S second annual fundraising event, it was announced today by Kimberly Van Luin, the company's Artistic Director who founded Chicago's prestigious Griffin Theatre, now in its 22nd year of producing. The event will be held from 7:00 to 11:00 pm at the DECOR ART GALLERIES located at 12149 Ventura Boulevard, Studio City, CA 91604, and is open to the public.

Dedicated to the SeaGlass mission of "Illuminating the American Experience", the evening will offer samplings of sumptuous cuisine indigenous to select regions throughout the U.S., complimented by a variety of diversified entertainment. t  April 7, 2010 -  On Tuesday evening, May 11, Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles will rock to the sounds of bands competing in the "Battle of the Bands" competition staged by the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA).  There will also be a special performance from Band From TV.  The event will raise funds for this year's CableCares' beneficiary, "A Place Called Home," a non-profit youth center in South Central Los Angeles (www.apch.org).

t  April 7, 2010 -  Julie Bowen (ABC's Modern Family), James Denton (ABC's Desperate Housewives), Marg Helgenberger (CBS' CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and Carrie Ann Inaba (ABC's Dancing with the Stars) will co-host the Los Angeles EIF Revlon Run/Walk on Saturday, May 8th during Mother's Day weekend. The EIF Revlon Run/Walk event is one of the nation's largest single-day fundraisers to support women's cancer research, counseling and outreach programs in New York City and Los Angeles.

The 17th annual Los Angeles race takes place at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum at Exposition Park and attracts close to 45,000 participants each year. The EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women was launched in 1993 through the combined efforts of Lilly Tartikoff, Ronald O. Perelman, chairman of Revlon, Inc. and EIF.

The new location of Harry Caray's Tavern on Navy Pier opens at 5 a.m. for this grand opening bash and 12th annual birthday toast to the late sportscaster (he would be 96). t  February 15, 2010 -  Reminder about an upcoming event ... we last told you about this in October of 2009, but since that was a long time ago, we're giving it a second shout out here.  

Jamie will be making a very special appearance in Southwest Florida on Saturday, March 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Club at Renaissance located at 12915 Renaissance Way in Fort Myers.

He will be hosting the exclusive benefit at the clubhouse of the upscale community of Renaissance to help raise awareness and funds for low-income and indigent women’s cancer care here in Southwest Florida.

t  February 11, 2010 -  Flip your calendars open to "April" and pencil in a walk with Jamie on the 24th.  The 8th annual Walk Now for Autism Speaks 2010 event will take place April 24, 2010 in Pasadena, at the Rose Bowl.  Registration begins at 8 a.m., the opening ceremony is at 9:30 a.m.  Jamie is a long-time supporter of this event and often participates.

Second, JAMIE  DOES NOT HAVE A TWITTER ACCOUNT.  Apparently there's some loser impersonating him there and since the Twitter support people haven't closed the account down yet, I'm telling everyone straight up that none of the Jamie and/or James Denton accounts on Twitter are this Jamie.  This website and his original JPAC on-line fan club are his biggest on-line commitments.

Jamie will be participating in the NBA All Star Weekend again, leading up to the NBA All Star game on Sunday, February 14, 2010.  It's in Dallas, Texas this year and tickets are available, well, everywhere LOL ... just search it and choose for yourself where you'd like to get your tickets!

t  December 18, 2009 - And here's something else that you can put on your calendar for 2010.  On January 6, 2010, Jamie and the Band From TV will again be at the Avalon in Hollywood.  The concert will benefit "Help 4 Sofia", the organization that is raising money for Stuart Smith's daughter, who was born prematurely and has required many thousands of dollars worth of medical care.  Doors open at 7 pm and the concert begins at 8 pm.  Tickets are $55.00 each (+ a service charge of $7.53) and you can get them HERE.

t  November 30, 2009 - Here's something for next year's calendar ... Jamie and the Band From TV will be appearing at the Fallsview Casino Resort, located in Niagara Falls, Canada on Sunday, March 7, 2010.  Showtime is 3:00 pm and tickets start at $50.00 (available through Ticketmaster).

t  October 13, 2009 - Jamie will be one of the co-hosts for the 2010 the fourth annual Susan G. Komen for the Cure Southwest Florida 5K Run/Walk on March 13, 2010, in Estero, Florida.  The goal for 2010 is to at least match what was raised this year, which was $914,000.

ABOUT DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES AND ABC ...

The people in charge of ABC's on-line media haven't renewed our account, so, while every Tom, Dick and Harry, all over the world, manage to get access to the publicity photographs for episodes of Desperate Housewives, we can no longer get them for Jamie's official website.

In addition to that, all of the execs in the entertainment industry have the attention span of a gnat, so they constantly need to be reminded that fans can, and will, change channels, if they aren't happy with what they're seeing.  Jamie's first on-line fan club, will be doing that, all year long - reminding ABC and Marc Cherry that they watch Desperate Housewives because they want to see Jamie.  Naturally, that group is hoping that all Jamie fans who come to his website will join in the effort.
