Because of his love for animals, many of the causes with which he has been involved have been related to helping them - dog rescues or animal protection organizations, like Actors and Others for Animals, for example. 

Jamie has also spent many hours working for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and has been responsible for both monetary and "wish list" donations that have been made to the Nashville Ronald McDonald House.  He's also spoken out for Cure Autism Now/Autism Speaks, the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the James Redford Institute for Transplant Awareness (Share The Beat), the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center and Fragile X.   

Recently, any commission realized from sales at  Cafe Press 1 or Cafe Press 2  or eBay sales of "Jamie memorabilia" conducted under the seller name of "missloislane" has begun being donated to individuals, victims of the current economy, who have found themselves in need of immediate monetary assistance to purchase needed cancer or heart medications.   CLICK HERE  to see one of the places that Jamie's long time on-line fan club has directed their efforts on his behalf.
